The Healing “Time Zone”

Many of you who are reading this blog may be in the midst of a healing challenge.  You may be experiencing your body in an uncomfortable state for a long period of time.

For some of you it feels like forever; you can’t imagine a time without the pains and discomforts, lack of energy and upset.  You long for relief, waking up everyday saying to yourself, “how long is this going to last, when will I start to feel better.”

From my own experience with my health challenges, I have learned how essential it is to move away from the concepts of “time” as we know it and shift into a new paradigm of healing; as an ongoing process.

I have discovered that healing and time don’t share any connection to what is really going on in our body.  Our bodies do not operate under the guise of “time” as we live and function with in our daily lives.  There is no “time zone” for our biology from which we can follow.  We may be given guidelines by our practitioners who in hopes of diminishing our anxieties will provide a basic idea of what we might hope to expect; but the true nature of how and when our healing is experienced is unknown.

We can rest our minds at ease with this when we let go of the tightly held outcome we have for our healing process.  When we listen within more and tune out to what may be well intentioned suggestions by our outside influences we support our bodies.  Healing comes through a body and mind connection within.

“Time” is arbitrary to healing.  Developing our minds to continue to open the doorway to inviting healing into our lives is time well spent.  Taking all the necessary actions we can in a day to support our healing along is supportive.

Focus on what we can control and not what we can’t; opens the door to opportunities within our lives and our bodies.

In health,

Safara
