Doing the Best You Can

This is important as we find ourselves struggling with the moments when UC gets to us and we feel like failures. Perhaps we have been working extra hard, skipping on naps, eating on the run or not eating at all. Perhaps it’s a matter of how we have approached ourselves lately and the stories we have been telling ourselves about how well or unwell we are doing. If this is accompanied with the fact that we have given our power over to the idea that we are failures in this attempt to heal or be healed by life and our actions then we further impede our efforts to find equilibrium and establish lasting health.

This is the time when we most need to take a step back and remind ourselves that we are in fact doing the best that we can. We are human and with that we are flawed in the most perfect way. Our expectation in life is to live it, any other way that we can find meaning in our life great, otherwise the pressure should be lifted. We have joy and love around us and so much to share with others.

Give yourself to live and if that means that you find yourself unhappy, sitting in bed, wondering when you can figure this thing out and rid yourself of your pain, instead let go, sit back on your pillow, touch your belly and tell yourself “I’m doing the best that I can”.

Great post! As mothers we tend to necgelt ourselves and look after our family first, I guess this is a good lesson to learn, we need to look after our health, otherwise we will not be around to take care of our family! Thanks for sharing! Cheers Fiona
