I look for clues in my day that relate to what I have read and take time to reflect on it myself. The book that I recently have been using is entitled appropriately “Daily Book of Positive Quotations†by Linda Picone.
Today my quote was from Gandhi, “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmonyâ€. This is also what is displayed on my website homepage.  There is nothing like a good quote from Gandhi, peace loving, mind of stillness and good man to all those big and small to remind you life is all well as you start your day. This truly stuck with me today as I read the caption’s description that spoke of how we often find ourselves feeling one thing but acting on it in another.
I find that when my body and mind are out of alignment there is a physical reaction that I have.  For me this often manifests itself in my belly where I get gas or aches followed by an overall feeling of imbalance in all my systems. One malfunction leads to another and by the end of the day I feel disconnected from myself and my body, leaving me exhausted and depleted with no real idea of how I experienced my day. For me this imbalance became apparent as I was indecisive and unable to dialogue clearly about my needs. I was struggling to find out how to say what I needed to my dentist. I couldn’t find a more appropriate way to say it. I wanted to express how I am in fact researching the best way to have my amalgam mercury fillings removed.
Happiness registers in my body.
When I say I “feel happy†its not just from the head up, acknowledgment of my feelings but a physically sensation that works its way through my body and projects itself in what I think, say and do. I know I am happy because I feel happy.
