The ability to communicate about my healing journey has taken on various forms. I have talked about it amongst friends, loved ones,  written in my diaries and now have expanded my community through this blog.
Recently I wrote an article for the Hippocrates Health Institute (HHI) that was published in  the December 2011 Volume 32 Issue 1 Healing Our World magazine. I was delighted to have the opportunity to share about my experience at HHI and how supportive they have been in my health journey. My article can be found on page 21 at  http://hippocratesinst.org/magazines/32-1_screen.pdf.
I also have a link to this article on my home page. Look to the right under the section: Archives you will see a section: Publications. Other publications will be posted there, so stay tuned for more!
In this article I speak about my experience at HHI and how I learned to become the leader of my health. I express my frustrations and disappointments with not being able to turn myself over to someone and/or an institution and be fixed. How it was only when I released my grip on this need that I was able to relax and find my own voice and source of empowerment within.
I think many of us face this challenge when we look at how UC has affected our lives. We ask others for guidance, after our disappointing trial and errors to find a relief from our pains.
Even as we may learn more about our condition and find ways to manage our health, repeatedly we are left with ourselves for the answers. I have learned that true health; mind, body and spirit is what I seek and can achieve as I embrace my own voice as my guide.
As individuals in charge of our bodies we have the freedom to incorporate all the nutrition and exercise methodologies towards improving our health.   When we shift the paradigm through which we use these tools and take time to center ourselves as part of our healing, a lifelong commitment to a healthy enriched life can truly begin.
I invite you to read my article and share your comments in a blog.  As mentioned other links to articles I write will be posted under Publications.  I welcome your reviews.
Enjoy!
Nice color choice on the blog. It is really easy on my eyes and I have bad eyes too so that’s a really big compliment lol
Thanks Marine,
Yes I wanted it to be easy on the eyes and an easy read. Welcome!
In health,
