Resource Sharing for Healing

Hi Health Trekkers,

I am writing to you sharing a few resources that I’ve been turning to at this time to help and perhaps there will be one for you.

I listen to Mooji who if you haven’t before I highly suggest and I share here his perspective on a retreat that spoke to me.  He speaks of a retreat in the sense of coming in touch with your heart.  It was a beautiful way to describe what we seek in this space of stillness.  When our minds are heavy, you seek rest, and you have to find space to be and listen.  He described how we seek to be at rest in the mind and closer to our heart.  To let it be.

You can find Mooji satsangs on YouTube. His website here.

One book that is helping me that I really have connected with the author is a book called Yoga for the Wounded Heart.  A Journey, Philosophy, and Practice of Healing Emotional Pain by Tatiana Forero Puerta.  This book shares to her own upbringing with experiences of trauma how it affected her mind and whole spirit threatening her life to move forward.  Through yoga she found the guide to her mind and heart to healing.  There are so many wonderful passages in this book and there is nothing like finding your voice in an author with an author who can bring out what you feel so your less alone.  She shares to teachings of yoga, her own contributions in reflection and speaks the voice of knowing that is real.  The vulnerability and wisdom from her lived experience feels like a friend there for you to help.

You can find her book here

Yoga principles and teachings  Ive been turning to with physical practice and study to help support calm and quiet the mind.

Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch you can find here located in New York founded in 1974 by Swami Vishnudevananda.  They have retreats on-going to get a chance to experience yogi lifestyle, provide Karma Yoga and learn of the Vendanta philosophy and practices to yoga, deep breathing and positive mind exercises while in nature and company of people in community of caring gentle support.

A book that I am following to is To Know Your Self  The Essential Teachings of Swami Satchidanada. Sri Swami Satchidanada (Existence-Knowledge- Bliss) is a yoga spiritual master who inspirations extended from master Sivananda and from which he provided practice and interfaith approach to yoga called Integral Yoga.

You can find his book here.

These resources have been a companion to me these days and I hope it serves as an opportunity to connect for you to whatever space you are in. May you find ways to space to meet you where you are at and help you moving forward.

In health,

Safara
