Welcome the Season , Welcome Change

Dear Blog readers, I reminisce to say that I have skipped a week on my bi-monthly blogging…as such I am going to send two out this week.  Here is todays, on this first day of Summer.   Another to follow this week will feature specifics on Summer tips- food, nutrition, healthy living practices to open yourself up and invite the season.

Today as we take our time to find ourselves enjoying this Sunday, the first of Summer we can take inventory of our spring season’s passing and the beginnings of what is yet to be.  As we do we can consider what has come and gone with a fresh and open acceptance of the beauty that lies within the impermanent nature of life.  We can take note of how the seasons reflect such and what can be gained when we take in and let go.

Each season is a reflection of this and how both are essential in the balance of our lives.  As we move from spring to summer, new light comes into our day.  The season promises bold and warming energy.  This new light filters through the trees and reaches us in ways that have never happened before in the year.  We can welcome this light and take it in while at the same time be mindful of what is no longer with us.  This new light energy is symbolic of the passing of dark into light.  It is reflected also in the flowers that have had their beautiful unfolding and have now died.  How grateful we can be for this very aspect of nature.

When we cling to what we perceive as permanent we take away from the true nature of life as it exists for us to enjoy.  Nature reflects to us how “nothing stays the same”; that which we experience as ecstasy or troubling has its place and purpose and is a part of an ever-changing season of our lives.  We can no more attach ourselves to what we enjoy than we can to what we dislike.  It is all essential to being whole and feeling our healthiest selves.

We welcome vitality just by inviting this naturally into our lives when we invite change.  We open the doors wide and extend our arms to what comes to us without judgment or fear, approaching living with gratitude.  Each moment provides us with a chance to be closer to nature in this manner.  To understand and embrace the opportunities that lie within each flowering of ourselves, taking in the new birth and peacefully accepting the decay of what no longer serves us.  We are in a continuous cycle of rebirth if we choose to accept this birth and death nature of things.

As you take time to enjoy this new season beginning, may you find yourself with a grateful heart for change.  May the energy of the seasons remind you of such with the promise of its teachings, to infuse you with ever more reasons and ways to enjoy life and live with health.

In health,

Safara
