{"id":797,"date":"2013-03-24T09:00:11","date_gmt":"2013-03-24T13:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=797"},"modified":"2013-03-23T17:54:31","modified_gmt":"2013-03-23T21:54:31","slug":"being-healthy-going-at-your-own-pace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=797","title":{"rendered":"Being Healthy: Going At Your Own Pace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/going-at-your-own-pace1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-800\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/going-at-your-own-pace1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>When we begin to recognize our health needs we\u00a0include practicing our listening skills by paying attention to our physical, emotional and spiritual needs.\u00a0\u00a0Each time we invite ourselves to be more healthy, our bodies\u00a0require us to clue into ourselves more closely.\u00a0 They ask us to find our own rhythm and pace.\u00a0 Paying attention to what we need in the moments of our day can be a challenge as we are faced with\u00a0the rapidness of our daily lives.<\/p>\n<p>Going at your own pace takes courage because there are so many reasons to give up our natural rhythm and trade our own pace for the more prevalent fast pace that has come to be our lives.\u00a0 Everything in our daily lives ask us to push ourselves to multitask and\u00a0to find ways to get more accomplished in as little time as possible.\u00a0 This in turn creates a level of consciousness within our mind that constantly challenges us with self-sabotaging messages\u00a0that question how effective we may be at\u00a0our tasks.<\/p>\n<p>We begin to ask ourselves,\u00a0&#8220;Why can&#8217;t \u00a0I talk on our cell phones, do the grocery shopping and feed\u00a0our child propped up in the shopping cart all at the same time?&#8221;
