{"id":711,"date":"2012-11-18T09:00:31","date_gmt":"2012-11-18T16:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=711"},"modified":"2012-11-20T20:25:39","modified_gmt":"2012-11-21T03:25:39","slug":"november-published-articlenavigating-the-real-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=711","title":{"rendered":"November Published Article:Navigating the Real World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/navigating-the-real-world.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-714\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/navigating-the-real-world-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>I hope this new blog post finds everyone in a comfortable and safe place wherever you may be.\u00a0 Thanks again for your patience while my family and I recovered from the storm.<\/p>\n<p>I am happy to say that I came home to a shipment of my newest publication &#8220;Navigating the Real World&#8221; in the Hippocrates Health Magazine Survival is Ours,\u00a0Volume 32 Issue 4.\u00a0 You can find a link to the article <a title=\"Navigating the Real World\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hippocratesinst.org\/wp-content\/magazines\/flash\/32-4-f_screen\/\">here<\/a>\u00a0 on page 37.<\/p>\n<p>In this article I share my own tips and suggestions for how to translate the health related material you receive from institutes such as Hippocrates and apply it to your life.\u00a0 The suggestions that I make are applicable to anyone who has\u00a0sought healing through\u00a0retreat centers, seminars\u00a0and health practitioners and\u00a0now face the\u00a0challenge of\u00a0adopting their practices to their everyday lives.\u00a0 Three area I explore are ones physical space, community resources and the family.<\/p>\n<p>Developing our\u00a0physical\u00a0spaces so that it can work to assist us in our healing is\u00a0essential.\u00a0\u00a0Our homes\u00a0can act as a sanctuary for\u00a0us when we provide it with the opportunities to do so.\u00a0 This means assessing what aspects of our current living\u00a0environment\u00a0bring us\u00a0peace\u00a0or discomfort.\u00a0What aspects of our\u00a0surroundings serve to calm and center us?\u00a0\u00a0How can we create more pathways to receive this energy within our home?\u00a0What kinds of scents and aromas bring us in touch with ourselves?<\/p>\n<p>Community resources are abundant for healthy tips and places to access your dietary needs. Restaurants have become an extension of our kitchens as they accommodate to dietary restrictions and infused their menu with palatable meals that are taste and healthy.\u00a0 You may find that learning about one resource in your area leads you to another.
