{"id":959,"date":"2013-09-01T09:00:56","date_gmt":"2013-09-01T13:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=959"},"modified":"2013-09-01T12:13:17","modified_gmt":"2013-09-01T16:13:17","slug":"renew-your-purpose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=959","title":{"rendered":"Renew Your Purpose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/renew-your-purpose.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-963\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/renew-your-purpose-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Every day we begin our lives with a routine.\u00a0 Its a part of life; we wake up, brush our teeth, wash our face and hopefully fuel ourselves with a good hearty breakfast.\u00a0 What we choose to incorporate into our morning can set the pace for our day.\u00a0\u00a0Sometimes it can foretell what is to come if our morning begins rushed and hurried before we even get out the door, we are probably exhausted by noon and ready for the day to come to a close.<\/p>\n<p>Though sometimes this is unavoidable; taking a few minutes to get in touch with ourselves in the morning and get into alignment can really make a difference.<\/p>\n<p>Exercise\u00a0is often subscribed\u00a0for this purpose.\u00a0 It\u00a0help us to begin the day feeling rejuvenated when we participate in some form of physical activity.\u00a0 This can include a morning jog, walk, perhaps\u00a0we turn on an aerobics video or perform a yoga routine.\u00a0 Any form of exercise is good to do and encourages\u00a0good health.<\/p>\n<p>What\u00a0I find of\u00a0equal value is\u00a0taking time\u00a0for\u00a0what I call\u00a0my &#8220;spiritual awakening.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The spirit needs\u00a0&#8220;awakening&#8221; just as any other part of our selves.\u00a0 Each day it beckons us to listen, go inward and give ourselves sometime to &#8220;Be.&#8221;\u00a0 Taking time to\u00a0become in touch with\u00a0the essence of\u00a0what makes us &#8220;beings&#8221; is important.\u00a0\u00a0 I am sure you have heard\u00a0in some variation &#8220;we are spiritual beings in physical form.&#8221;\u00a0 However we may believe this to be\u00a0true for ourselves considering our spiritual and or religious nature we can honor this by creating a space\u00a0to honor our spirit\u00a0in our lives\u00a0each day as the sun rises.<\/p>\n<p>Prayer, meditation, a walk in your garden, attending your spiritual community, a moment to center\u00a0yourself on\u00a0a yoga mat; whatever ritual of practice we\u00a0choose, make it personal.\u00a0 We alone should feel most at peace in these\u00a0moments;\u00a0at rest and in communion with our spirit.\u00a0 It should be meaningful to us and us alone.\u00a0 Perhaps you read a few passages from a book that inspires you\u00a0and with that you walk out the door; so be it.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I watched two films (&#8220;Amour&#8221;\u00a0&amp; &#8220;Seven Pounds&#8221;)\u00a0that\u00a0reiterated to me\u00a0life is only with purpose when we feel in touch with the &#8220;essence&#8221; of ourselves.\u00a0 We can go through\u00a0the motions of life; the mechanics without ever really being present.\u00a0\u00a0Acting on our better behalf to live in\u00a0full health\u00a0needs the \u00a0support of our spiritual self-which brings us to feel &#8220;alive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>When we are\u00a0unwell for example, the physical draining of our body make us feel weak.\u00a0 But what drains our body of life even more is\u00a0how out of touch we feel with our &#8220;selves&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0The road to feeling\u00a0better\u00a0 includes nurturing our spiritual self.\u00a0 It is by taking\u00a0steps in this direction day by day that we ensure our health is restored and kept alive for us to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Take time to\u00a0renew your purpose and come together with your spirit each day and enjoy the bounty of a healthy life with me.<\/p>\n<p>In health,<\/p>\n<p>Safara<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every day we begin our lives with a routine.\u00a0 Its a part of life;
