{"id":768,"date":"2013-03-10T08:00:36","date_gmt":"2013-03-10T12:00:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=768"},"modified":"2013-03-10T11:51:59","modified_gmt":"2013-03-10T15:51:59","slug":"to-do-list-emotional-physical-and-spiritual-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/?p=768","title":{"rendered":"To Do List: Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/to-do-list-emotional-physical-spiritual-healthy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-772\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/safaraf.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/to-do-list-emotional-physical-spiritual-healthy-150x143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"143\" \/><\/a>Every day we have the privilege of making choices for ourselves as to what we do with our day and how we go about it.\u00a0 Within each of these choices is a nugget of power, our own of which we send out and utilize to engage in our lives.\u00a0 When we make a choice with intention, we are purposefully aligning ourselves with the energy within and\u00a0asking &#8220;Is this choice helpful to my emotional, physical or spiritual well-being?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You may notice that I did not include &#8220;mental&#8221;.\u00a0 I purposefully didn&#8217;t include &#8220;mental&#8221; because I find in my own life that I utilize this aspect of myself far to often and don&#8217;t leave time for the other parts of myself.\u00a0 I also find that when I engage in these other 3 areas, I open up my &#8220;mentality&#8221; and exercise my thoughts.\u00a0 However, if you wish, please include it as part of an aspect of your being for reflection when making choices in your day.<\/p>\n<p>When we begin with the question,\u00a0 &#8220;Is this choice helpful to my emotional, physical or spiritual well-being?&#8221;, we find that we can\u00a0make\u00a0healthy choices.\u00a0 By practicing this throughout our day we can see that when we\u00a0take time to reflect, that our choices led us to outcomes that were meaningful and congruent with ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>An easy way to start to\u00a0incorporate this methodology\u00a0is when creating list of\u00a0things to do&#8217;s for the day.\u00a0 With each item you write down, ask yourself this question.\u00a0 Review the list before you commit to it and see if you find\u00a0it heavily weighed in one direction or another.\u00a0Is it balanced?<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a0for example you have on your list,\u00a0&#8220;wash clothes, go for a run, pick up laundry&#8221; you might find that\u00a0all\u00a03 are\u00a0physical.
