with the cold peas\u00a0leftover from their meal to cold for anyone to really enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Fruits and vegetables can now be consumed through juices, smoothies\u00a0or a combination of the two.\u00a0 They complement one another especially when mixed together to create a nice shake.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I experimented away from my juicer to a new horizon with vegetable and fruit shakes.\u00a0\u00a0I purchased the <a title=\"nutribullet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nutribullet.com\/\">NutriBullet<\/a>.\u00a0 I was encouraged to do so after learning about other people with UC or digestive issues that were using the&#8221; NutriBullet&#8221;\u00a0as a\u00a0way to get their fruits and veggies in\u00a0a\u00a0easily digestible form.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Its easy to use and clean, which is one of its marketing appeals.<\/p>\n<p>Shakes\u00a0and blended\u00a0beverages\u00a0are\u00a0particularly important when\u00a0dealing with a flare-up and\u00a0the healing process.\u00a0\u00a0This is a time\u00a0when we could use the nutritional\u00a0boost from such vegetables as kale and spinach, and vitamins from apples\u00a0but\u00a0find the roughage too difficult\u00a0on our systems.\u00a0\u00a0By incorporating fruit and vegetables into a shake, you ensure that you are supporting your body with good nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>Take handfuls of the vegetables, cut up some fruits add water\u00a0 or nut milk and\u00a0your done.\u00a0 Its that simple, and\u00a0the bonus is easy to clean.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u00a0is a recipe for a\u00a0shake I have been making in the mornings that has really\u00a0started my day off\u00a0right with\u00a0a good energy boost.<\/p>\n<p>1. spinach- handful<\/p>\n<p>2. celery- few stems<\/p>\n<p>3. cucumber- half or 1\/3<\/p>\n<p>4. half an apple or half a banana- (I sometimes omit this)<\/p>\n<p>5. a piece of ginger root<\/p>\n<p>6. a clove of garlic<\/p>\n<p>7. add water or nut milk<\/p>\n<p>Mix together and throw in some vanilla and your good to go!\u00a0 For added goodness throw in a tablespoon of flaxseed oil or chlorella powder.\u00a0 As an alternative to spinach, is kale which is packed rich with vitamins and minerals.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t be discouraged if you don&#8217;t have a &#8220;NutriBullet.&#8221;
